This ten-day adventure will take you to the jungle, a cobblestone colonial town, an old pirate island, and to the tranquil water and coral reefs of the Caribbean. You'll intimately explore the Maya Biosphere Reserve, which includes the world renowned Tikal National Park, loaded with amazing ruins of the Maya civilization, and its surrounding jungle and waterways full of howler monkeys and all sorts of foliage and fauna. After a beautiful urban evening out, you'll fly to the English speaking island of Roatan in the Caribbean. There you can chill on West Bay Beach, rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world by CNN Traveler's Choice, take private excursions to the most idyllic nooks and crannies of the island, and have the freshest array of tropical fruit and seafood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You may never want to leave.

Day 1: Guatemala City Airport to Antigua
We will meet you at the airport and from there drive 40 minutes to the picturesque, colonial town of Antigua, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site that has a vibrant history and culture. We'll check you in to your luxurious hotel and escort you to a five-course authentic Antiguan dinner accompanied with a first class rum tasting.
Day 2 : Antigua and Its Lush Surroundings
After breakfast, we will explore Antigua's artisanal Mayan market and then strategically roam the cobblestone streets where you will get an insider's look into Antigua's colonial architecture, world renowned art galleries, Spanish ruins, gardens, and fine restaurants. You will learn how to hand craft chocolate from bean to bar and retreat to the hotel for a relaxful evening before embarking very early the next day for the rainforest of Peten.
Day 3: Peten
We take the 40 minute drive to Guatemala City airport to take the 30 minute scenic flight to Flores, Peten. Upon arrival we will check you in to a lovely boutique hotel in Flores, have a hearty brunch, then head to the Mesoamerican archeological site on Lake Yaxha, where our archeological expert will to take you back into history. You will return in time for a leisurely evening in the charming tiny peninsula town of Flores.
Days 4 and 5: Tikal National Park in the Maya Biosphere Reserve
From the hotel, you will begin the journey through Tikal with a private guide who will help you to discover all of the major points of interest in Tikal National Park: The Lost World, Complex Q, and Temples I, II, IV, V, and VI. You'll take in the sunset at the perfect place. The second day you'll explore The Great Plaza, The Window Palace, and other beautiful locales where nature, animals and history harmoniously come together. Late afternoon we'll fly back to Guatemala City where you'll dine and stroll through the pedestrian walkways of the historic part of the city.
Day 6 : Roatan
You'll fly out early from Guatemala City and be on Roatan's West Bay Beach, rated one of the world's top ten beaches by CNN's Traveler's Choice, by 10:30 am. Have snapper for breakfast with a rum drenched Pina Colada, ice cold beer, or fresh pressed juice. Snorkel and swim through the coral reef with bright and colorful fish, rays, barracudas and sea turtles 50 meters from your shaded lounge area or take a quick private boat ride to the deeper hot spots off the beach. Then go to lunch! Take a nap or do whatever and return for more of the same until nightfall brings light breezes through the Palms, soft waves lapping upon the shore, lobsters, plantains, champagne, and the sweet smell of the Caribbean is all that's in front of you.
Day 7 : Roatan
After a refreshing morning swim out your front door and an islander breakfast, head out for a morning of 18 holes of Golf at Black Pearl Golf Course. After a fresh seafood lunch, relax in your beach hammock or on your king sized premium mattress in your perfectly climatized beach-front hotel room or villa. Whatever. Chill out for a bit in the afternoon at an island cafe with an iced espresso while you look over posted properties for sale on the island. Happy Hour always starts early on Roatan and the premium cold cocktails are superb. Eat whatever you please and enjoy the evening among the many lovely places along the beach or head to an island kitchen for a private class on how to make coconut conch curry, steamed lionfish, and delectable corn fritters and mango bread.
Day 8 : Roatan
After breakfast you'll head out to sea in a private boat exploring the island's reefs and nooks and crannies of the island's lush tropical coast. The captain will take you to select places along the reef where you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by blue turquoise water and the sight of the palmed shore. Hang out for a bit, jump in the water, and lose yourself in the mesmerizing beauty. Boat over to a secluded tiny beach for lunch and head back to West Bay whenever it suits you. Later, head out to West End for a sunset Happy Hour and enjoy the cozy but vibrant nightlife.
Day 9 : Roatan
Take a morning breakfast swim, ALWAYS. Then you'll have a guided visit to a tropical arboretum and botanical gardens, take a beautiful hike along trails that place you into the heart of the island's deep, green lush interior. After lunch, settle in for a long relaxing coconut oil massage and rest to the sound of the sea. In the evening enjoy a catered culinary extravaganza in your villa or we'll transport you to wherever you feel like going. Night diving? There are many options we can recommend and you may want to experience several.
Day 10 : Departure
Take a morning swim and head to Roatan's airport for your flight home.
